Summer school on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies in Urban Environments

Together with its partner university, the Ural Federal University (UrFU) in Yekaterinburg, Russia, the TU-Campus EUREF gGmbH organized a Summer School as their first collaborative activity. From August 10th–21st, 20 students from UrFU, five students from Technische Universität Berlin, five students from Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg and 10 young professionals from German companies studied a variety of issues regarding the Energiewende.

Speakers from science and practice, workshops and excursion made up for the intensive program which was kicked off by an opening event with the German Federal Foreign Minister, Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier. In the following two weeks, participants attended lectures, re-designed smart home energy experiences, visited companies and production facilities, and took part in various cultural activities in and around Berlin.
